Lean-to’s are a fast, low cost way of gaining additional work or storage space when your premises are at full capacity. Dead ground can be brought inside and utilised with the removal of the interior wall. If covered storage or outside workspace is needed, an open lean-to maybe the best solution.

In most cases we can use the existing columns to support the rafters and design the extension to the length of one or more of the bays. Maximum roof height is governed by the existing gutter position and the roof pitch can be set to meet ergonomic or aesthetic requirements. The width of the lean-to is constrained by the space you have available and the strength of the existing structure.
